Polish Gallery is a small importer. We buy from family workshops in southern Poland and sell directly to people in the United States, without a distributor in between.
Most of what we carry is glass. It is mouth-blown, silvered on the inside so it holds the light, and then painted by hand. The napkins are a different craft but the same idea: printed in Poland on three-ply tissue, in patterns you will not find on a supermarket shelf.
Because the work is done by people, no two pieces are identical. Two ornaments from the same batch will differ slightly in weight, in shape, and in where the brush landed. We think that is the reason to buy one, so we do not treat those differences as flaws.
We ship from Chicago. Orders over $75 ship free within the United States, returns are open for 30 days, and if something arrives broken we replace it at no cost. That last part matters more than it sounds — glass travels badly, and we would rather absorb the loss than argue about it.
